Young Artists in Play Group explored the evolution of color through a series of "color experiments" that included primary-colored oil pastels, watercolors, and tempera paint.

During this activity, students investigated the beginnings of mark making by using homemade stamps. Students rotated through color stations while practicing and pressing to make marks on paper.
