Play Group Artists leave their mark in color evolution lesson

Play Group student learns about the evolution of color

Young Artists in Play Group explored the evolution of color through a series of "color experiments" that included primary-colored oil pastels, watercolors, and tempera paint.

During this activity, students investigated the beginnings of mark making by using homemade stamps. Students rotated through color stations while practicing and pressing to make marks on paper.

The goal of the project was to create a work of art using all three primary colors and all three secondary colors.
