Our latest edition!
Our Winter 2023 issue highlights events and real-world experiences in which Friends Academy students participated – from First graders, who ventured into Locust Valley to practice field research and interpersonal communication skills, to a trip to the United Nations with Fifth grade, and DNA Barcoding in Upper School Science Research with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories.
A musical and an immersive play – these have become staples in the Upper School Arts Program. In February 2022, Twelfth Night: The Musical took to the stage as the first musical at Friends Academy since 2020. Because of masks, students had to enhance their acting with more exaggerated body language. In October 2022, the original immersive play, The Haunted, invited the audience in to experience multiple stories of mystery and unfinished business.
