Friends Academy Chess Team Defeats Jericho

Written by

The Friends Academy Chess Team was victorious in a match up against Jericho High School with a final score of 27.7 to 17.5. This was a breakthrough win for our outstanding varsity team as they were playing against a daunting Jericho team with chess masters who are nationally ranked. This win pushes the FA team at a closer chance to win the Nassau County Championship. If they succeed there, this could lead to the National High School Championships in Memphis, from April 8-10.

Congratulations to Coaches Polly Duke and Lara Klein and to our phenomenal team of Thomas Crisci, Cooper Mott, Kidder Bacon, Daniel Baskind, Logan Mott, and Sam Laserson.
