Finding courage and strength in unity

Written by

On Tuesday, Nov. 1st, Friends Academy students in Grades 5-12 spent focused “community time” in a Quaker-based Meeting for Unity. Various spaces, led by Friends faculty, offered students the opportunity to explore themes of courage, unity, strength, and gratitude with each other and in affinity.

“Our Quaker Testimony around Community calls us to consider the quality of our personal connections and how we lift each other up,” explained Director of Diversity, Equity, +Inclusion Camille S. Edwards. “Whether we come together to write gratitude notes to friends, learn more about our student life program alongside peers, or engage in meaningful dialogue within specific identity groups, all of these activities are examples of our mission in motion,” she added.
