Written by

For their outstanding play this season, seniors William Cuddeback, Tyler Henry and Henry Statfeld of the Friends Academy Boys Varsity Hockey Team were named to the New York Islanders High School Hockey All-Star Team.

The three FA student-athletes represented the Town of Oyster Bay All-Stars and competed against the Western All-Stars on Friday, Jan. 18 at Northwell Health Ice Center.

A total of 43 student-athletes were chosen for the All-Star Game, representing the 17 schools that compete in the New York Islanders High School Hockey League. Coaches submitted nominees from their own teams and league officials made the final determination on number of representatives from each school.

The Friends Academy Boys Varsity Hockey Team currently holds a 7-6 record with three games remaining in the regular season. The Quakers' final home game is against Garden City on Friday, Jan. 24 at 8 pm at Northwell Health Ice Center.
