Quakers capture decisive Bball win against W. Hempstead

Written by

On Monday, Dec. 20, the Boys Varsity Basketball team traveled to West Hempstead High School and won decisively 74 to 35. Junior Gabe Ferencz led all scorers with 30 points. The Quakers jumped out to an early lead and held the Rams to three points in the second quarter. “We got out in transition really well and got some easy layups,” said Friends Academy Head Coach Andrew Siegel, who also credited junior Malachi Polson and sophomore Jackson O’Brien with strong play. “We think we’re one of the better teams in the conference,” Coach Siegel said.  “We’re going to have a tough game on Wednesday (Dec. 22) with Malverne. But, we’ll see how we stack up.”
