Lunch & Learn: The Current State of Ukraine

Upper School students led a Lunch & Learn on the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Henry Davison ‘24 spoke on the history of tensions between the two countries. Ryan Sharifov ‘23 covered the militarization of the border and the buildup leading up to the current crisis. Jonas Edgarov ‘23 covered how Russian troops have moved into Ukraine. And Serena Saad ‘23 focused on the humanitarian crisis. An estimated 4 million people may flee Ukraine, according to the United Nations. Serena referenced Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, who called Ukraine the fastest growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War II.
