Girls take 2nd at Winter Track Conference Championship

On Friday, Jan. 21 the Friends Academy Winter Track team displayed an incredible performance at the Nassau County Conference VI Championship at St. Anthony's. Senior Nyah Thomas took 1st place in three events including the 55 Meter Dash where she ran a personal record of 07.52. Junior Olivia Carden took 1st place in the 55 Meter Hurdles and beat the Friends Academy school record with a time of 09.67. Dijaye Carpenter also leaped into two first place finishes in the Long Jump and the Triple Jump with PRs of 6'75" and 5'50" respectively.
