On Monday, May 6th, Senior Eve Fine signed her Letter of Intent with the Women's Soccer Team at the California Institute of Technology. Eve plays goalie for the Quakers and as co-captain of the Friends Academy Varsity Girls Soccer Team, spoke deeply of the experiences on and off the field that she will take with her.

"The leadership that I've learned there, I will carry with me... sometimes you have to take charge to make change."

"Eve has been a vital member of our soccer program as a senior captain and outstanding goalie," praised Coach Gail Kammerer-Baker. "Through her leadership and work ethic she has set a strong example of what it means to be a student athlete and a true team player. She has been a pleasure to coach and we wish her the best at Cal Tech," she added.

"I really appreciate all that Coach Baker has done in being a supportive mentor throughout the whole recruitment process," said Eve. "I'm so glad to have had such a supportive team and coach, who I will definitely miss!"

Eve will join five other student-athletes who will be playing collegiate athletics at D1 and D3 schools in the fall. "I'm really excited that I'll be able to go to one of the top scientific institutions in the world and also play soccer."
