A Night of Funds and Friends

Written by

On Friday, March 18th, members of the Friends Academy community gathered for this year’s annual Caring Community Diversity Grant Fund Dinner and OriginalWorks21 production. Students performed original poetry, monologues, skits, and choreography. Before the performances, guests were able to view an exhibit of student artwork in the Dolan Center Art Gallery and listened to a presentation from representatives of the Upper School Student Diversity Committee about their experiences this year at the National Association of Independent Schools’ Student Diversity Leadership Conference.

“This event is about uplifting the unique experiences our students have in their journey at our Quaker school,” said Camille S. Edwards Director of DEI, “and the Diversity Grant Fund offers us the ability to uplift our mission of equity in our community.”
